Our group began in 1992 and currently has forty-five members. Annual membership is $20, which covers meeting costs, monthly minutes and a newsletter to keep members up-to-date.
Newcastle OWN meets on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 am.
Following a business meeting (and a 'cuppa') we have a discussion or a guest speaker.
We also enjoy extra activities, such as social gatherings, workshops and outings. We lobby on behalf of the older members of our community on relevant issues.
Our members have many skills, experience and personal resources to offer each other. We are a lively, supportive group, working together as friends to make a difference for ourselves and for older women in the Newcastle area.
