Bankstown Greek Group
We are a group of Greek older women from south western Sydney who have been meeting since 1994. Every Monday from 10am we meet at the Arts and Crafts Centre in Olympic Parade, Bankstown.
Our aims are to provide enrichment, support and friendship for older Greek women, to encourage discussion about topics that interest us, and to assist older Greek women to gain information, knowledge and skills.
Our group offers:
- Dances from Greece
- Many physical activities
- Day trips
- We meet new and interesting people
- Emotional support
- We are a friendly group
- We visit less privileged groups
- We support community events
- All of our members have found a reason to get up and out now
- Our group also gives it members a sense of satisfaction
- We help our members with personal issues where possible
- Most important, we all have fun
- We welcome everyone
Through the Older Women's Network we have transformed ourselves from shy women with little confidence to women who know where we stand in our society.
